How it Works:
Basics: Like horseshoes, it can be played with singles or two teams of two people, who toss corn bags at a slanted ramp with a hole. For tournament purposes only two person teams will be entered. You get one point for a bag that lands on the ramp and three if it goes in the hole. The first person or team to get to 21 wins.

Set Up: Two boxes are set up with their front facing each other. The hole centers are 30 ft. apart. There is an imaginary line at the front of each box called the foot foul line. Each player cannot step in front of the line when tossing.

Playing the Game:
Team Play: Two teams of two people (partners) play. The partners stand at opposite boxes on the same side, and face each other. Each team had 4 bags of one color and all 8 bags begin at one end. A coin toss determines who begins. Each of the opponents take turns tossing the bags until all 8 bags are thrown. Each person can throw their bag from anywhere behind the foul line. The score is then tallied for that round. The higher scoring team starts the second round. The second round begins with the two players at the other end of the lane throwing the bags. The game continues until one team reaches 21 or more points.

Fouls:
1 - If a player's foot goes past the foul line
2 - A player goes out of turn
The player who caused the foul loses the throw when the foul occurred and the bag shall be removed from play if it landed on the playing surface.

Scoring:
3 points are scored if the bag goes through the hole
1 point is scored for the following:
- The bag is on the playing surface of the board
- The bag is hanging in the hole
- The bag is hanging off the edge of the board - not touching the ground

No points are scored for the following:
- The bag is on the board playing surface but is also touching the ground
- A bag is hanging off the front edge and is resting on another bag that is on the ground unless the bag on the ground can be removed without making the bag fall to the ground. If the bag is still on the board without falling once the other is removed, one point is given.

Tournament specifics:
Teams will be slotted into the bracket by blind draw. Teams must win 2 of 3 games to move to the next round. This is a single elimination tournament. Single entry competitors will be paired with partners by drawing names. Blind toss and long toss events will be available to tournament competitors who have been eliminated from the tournament after the first round.

Please bring your entry fee the day of the Classic ($5 per individual or $10 per team).
